Angela Lindner is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt who began her journey in February 2014. What started as a search for practical self-defense quickly became a lifelong passion as she fell in love with the art, its community, and the physical and mental challenges it provides. As both a mother and a coach, Angela leads with empathy, discipline, and clarity. She serves as the head women’s and kids’ coach at Lionheart Jiu Jitsu, where she is deeply committed to creating an environment where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired to grow. With a decade of training and over five years dedicated to teaching, Angela has earned her place as a respected leader and mentor within the academy.

Melinda Carbajal is the Managing Member and CEO of Simply Pizza, a unique woodfired, mobile, and hybrid restaurant business. With a background in government and education, Melinda has carved out a niche in the food industry, leveraging her extensive knowledge of systems, grants, and nonprofit management to drive her business forward in innovative ways. As a dedicated mother of five, Melinda balances her entrepreneurial endeavors with an active role in her community. She serves on five nonprofit boards and holds an elected position in public education, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and service. Melinda thrives on building programs, navigating complex systems, and making a positive impact. Her journey from the realms of government and education to the culinary world is a testament to her adaptability and passion for serving others. Melinda will talk talk about building authentic community connections to drive impact. Serving community, self, and business through relationships and shared missions.
